If you created the file yourself, try creating it again from the original source. We got the same error message everytime we use the option "save as". At this point we are going to tell our customers to install and use the alternate PDF viewer. If so, did you check to be sure they were encoded? https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1518043

I also tried saving it with the same filename but on different folder, but I got the same error. The PDF was fine till opening and filling the required fields but when I tried to save it, an error flashed on screen stating "The Document could not be saved. If i save the file directly (in the browser dialog) it works fine, but if i open it in acrobat and try to save it there it got the error.... You may want to investigate if your reporting system does generate corrupt PDF files. This can solve many issues, including security issues known to exist in earlier versions of Acrobat software. To us it looks like the problem comes from the Q2 2010 telerik reporting module since we only have this problem since we upgraded.We did not change anything else. It seems that Adobe Reader (free) can save documents fine, but the Adobe Writer/Standard generates the error mentioned in this thread.

I tried it on my old laptop (WIN XP) where I never had problems with saving pdf's under different names. I've already sent the client a new copy, which seems to behave as required.
