But render times rise 4 times. I have made calls and sent emails to no resolution. I plugged the drive in via esata in stead of usb and I am getting better results. The possibility of going through and replacing all the files is now an option.

Doing that did restore my XDCAM codecs that were messed up in Final Cut from removing too many components though. Test file is coming...
