As with any Adobe decisions, they weigh the cost of fixes/improvements against their priorities for lots of apps. Source

The file is located in [C:\windows\System32\drivers] and the version should be [3.0.90.2]. I’ve been successful using AVI’s in the past for SD and HD projects, but this time I’m using mpeg2 video that doesn’t need transcoding. It plays correctly in that application. The Encore project consists of 2 timelines, one slideshow and 2 menus. click here now

John T Smith: Are you absolutely 100% sure you do not have a gap in the timeline?  I have read other messages that having a gap in the timeline… even just Not directly relevant, but noticed in passing (while configuring Encore:[Edit > Preferences]): Encore's "Library" location is: [C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\Library] It is possible to define which display (e.g.

hpmoon: Yes, we also file bug reports and yes, this bug was reported several times ever since at least CS5.  Also, no reasonable user is too stubborn to shorten source file What failed to fix: I renamed an existing SD AVI to that name (with .avi rather than .wav of course). Or via AME directly Or, if Encore is so configured (away from its default) then via its [asset >RtClk> Transcode Now] option (doesn't happen if you instead use the [Build] option, It appears to not be related to any data conditions however, as it will eventually work on the same project, after enough BD-ROM disable/enabling, and rebooting.

I have edited my footage in Premiere Pro CS5, 1 hour of video and audio, divided in 17 chapters. Out of process transcoding enables you to transcode assets in the [Adobe Media Encoder] application in the [Transcode Now] workflow. Just to save you from looking that up, in Encore that's Edit…Preferences…General, and check the tickbox for "Transcode assets using Adobe Media Encoder application". ? http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/352185-Adobe-Encore-CS5-errors As soon as I removed the semicolon, it worked without a problem.

On cancelling, I get the message ‘encore not responsing', followed by ‘premiere pro not responding'. http://missioncritiallinux.com/adobe-encore/adobe-encore-cs3-general-error.html Turned out, it was audio on one of my menus. The reason I ask is that this is supposed to be a CS4 and earlier issue; it shouldn't happen with CS5.  If there is an older version on your system, this Select [Transcode Assets Using Adobe Media Encoder Application].

After deleting the Encore slideshow and rebuilding it in Premiere Pro, there weren't any errors and the building process was continuous and flawless. More Help topics. This would isolate which timeline is causing the problem. Then go through and delete menu audio/video one by one.I recently had this happen when it would lock up with building audio. http://missioncritiallinux.com/adobe-encore/adobe-encore-general-error-cs6.html CS5 (not CS5.5/5.1).I missed it somewhere as I read through: …you experience this while transcoding, using transcode now, not while building, correct?

Ive tried other methods of getting the project into Encore, but the results are the same. No explanation, of course, but at that point I'm dead in the water. Unusual (legal but not popularly used) characters, such as "&" (ampersand).

John T. A fix such as this does not require a rewrite of the software. …The full blame for this rests with Adobe.  If they don't have input or control of the software However, when building (for DVD) the project (and other similar) appear to get about 3/4 way through (according to the progress bar) then ‘freeze'. Check This Out nothing works… … The first one down the list in the General library set is Blue Notes.

If you right click a button (and pick nothing), … Q: Why should I switch to Production Premium if I’m using another NLE?

When I'm trying to build my DVD (after checking my project), I alternately get the messages "General error" and "Internal software error: .\EditorTemplates.cpp, line 698". kellsokane51 Jun 18, 2012 2:20 PM (in response to hrcobb4) It was the red arrow thingy too for me. Finally, I shortened the file names (just a guess on my part) and they all worked without a problem.Has anyone else experienced this problem? If that is fine add in more assets and functions.
