I'm using an scc (close caption file) from MovieCaptioner which is attached to the movie in the timeline. I'll go back and re read more carefully and see if anything else jumps out to try. Just for giggles - today I uninstalled Encore CS3 and reinstalled Encore 2.0 - the same files that Encore CS3 fails on - work perfectly in Encore 2.0The problem is only LA Color Wedding | L.A.
The second clip in the Encore project works fine; it was captured the same way in the same format. I am using it as I only need to author once, export to both DVD and BluRay. Nothing short of a voodoo sacrifice will allow you to successfully build DVD/Blu-Rays that you could sell in a retail environment. Only the motion buttons in a menu still wont work unless you use a black background !?!. First I get the continuous transcoding problem and I corrected that and rebooted. However, Adobe's staff has (at my request) deleted my original profile, as it constantly showed my e-mail address instead of my username/nickname.
