Excuse me: why do Adobe's products need to be so drastic about their install requirements? I haven't tried moving from Google Chrome yet, but really don't want to go back to an old slow system because the BBC have created a problem that wasn't around until So the solution is to use Microsoft's good old Internet Explorer 9/10 instead, then everything works as it should. Thanks for the heads up. Worked for me too. Anyway, I did turn off the anti-virus temporarily to install Air or I couldn't use iPlayer Desktop, could I? It provided an atrocious user experience which probably drove a lot of people to grab the programmes from, shall we say, non-official sources and is likely to have actually increased file-sharing
